messing with your head

you might think that you have continuity as a 'person', since you remember the 'past', but those are just sketchy memories that your current brain activity strings together into what you perceive as conscious thought.

Consider that the brain of a 'crazy' person is not significantly different from your own, everything you 'think' that you know is just an illusion created by your barely functioning brain. The fact that some of us agree on certain of these illusions in our current state of minimal consciousness doesn't make any of it 'real'.

Okay, some people took my little missive to be not just for fun. It was just a attempt at dry humor, it was originally sent to mm and not about him. Sheesh.....

B, it gave me a thought. Memory exists in more than one location. I can remember contimplating or thing about a memory. So I get a feeling this really happened. When I think about a memory more detail comes into play. I become certain it happened. With enough detail I can find evidence, like old receits, tickets to the movie, etc to back it up. With this process I think my idenity would just wash away in time and "I" would just be transitory, insignificant.
