Stupid in the Land of Dixie

In the long running debate in the nature vs nurture in determining how smart somebody is you have a major study that does address one factor in the problem of the lack of gray matter in the Deep South. Lifestyle matters when it comes to having a functioning brain. This is what makes a Teabagger.

I'll accept the identification of the effect.

While awaiting the results of further studies to elucidate the cause(s), I'll simply relish the wonderful typo at the beginning of the article:

"-- a southern portion of the U.S. with significantly elevated stroke MORALITY rate --

Is a stroke necessary for cognative decline in the South? I would imagine this would be evident with many Southerners without suffering from a stroke. Stupid is as stupid does...

Let us just consider it the "generally whacked belt" until there surfaces proof to the contrary.
